The Syracuse SkyChiefs defeated the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons Sunday afternoon, 4-1, at the Phillies Complex in Clearwater, Florida.

The SkyChiefs broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning when Danny Solano and Anton French started the inning with back-to-back singles and later came around to score to give Syracuse a 3-1 lead.

French, Anthony Sanders and Justin Singleton all had two hits for Syracuse.

Chris Baker started the game for the SkyChiefs and went three innings, giving up just one run on five hits. Cameron Reimers (three innings), Steve Andrade (two innings) and Jason Arnold (one inning) combined for six shutout innings out of the SkyChiefs bullpen.

The SkyChiefs (2-2) will host the Columbus Clippers at the Blue Jays Englebert Complex in Dunedin, Florida at 1:00 PM Monday.
